Turn Every Pouch Into a Display-Ready Pack — In-Seal Hole Punching on VFFS Lines

That round hole on top of the bag — the one that lets it hang on a store hook — is not punched by hand. And it shouldn't be. On an AblePack VFFS line, it's cut by the machine itself, right through the seal, as an optional add-on.

The vertical form fill seal cycle already does three jobs in one pass: film formed into a tube, filled, then sealed and cut into individual pouches. Add the optional punch unit and you get a fourth — a clean hanger hole punched through the seal area before the bag is released. Because the cutter runs in sync with the sealing station, there's no extra station, no extra operator, no slowdown. Hole position follows your artwork: centered for peg hooks, offset for corner hanging, sized to your pack.

Who needs this? Brands packing snacks, pet treats, coffee, spices, even small hardware — anything that sells better on a hook than flat on a shelf. Compare that with buying pre-punched pouches: pricier film, longer lead times, and a whole SKU of inventory bought just for the hole. Punching in-line means one standard film roll does every job.
